My Life with the Walter Boys has finished filming its second season!

The first season of the teen drama premiered on Netflix on Dec. 7, 2023, and reached the top 10 in almost 100 countries with millions watching the show. On December 19, less than two weeks after the premiere, Netflix renewed the show for a second season.

Described by Melanie Halsall, the show’s creator, as “Dawson’s Creek meets Friday Night Lights,” the show is an adaptation of Ali Novak’s 2014 novel of the same name, which she first published via Wattpad in 2014.

Halsall told Tudum that she was “beyond thrilled” about the renewal news, adding, “We have been overwhelmed by the love and support that the audience has given the show, and can’t wait to dive back into the world of Silver Falls and the lives of these characters.”

Meanwhile, Nikki Rodriguez, who plays the protagonist Jackie Howard, said of her experience on the show, “It was just a dream come true from the first day of filming.
