Weekend plans? South Carolina exotic animal park offers drive-thru family fun nearby (2024)

In this episode. We're exploring places in and not too far from Lexington south Carolina. Our first stop is just *** short drive south to where the wild things are. This is what it would look like if noah's ark came into ports and passengers were just roaming around. Where are we? Mark? The adora wildlife Safari park. It's an interactive drive through park where we have over 3 to 400 animals from all over the world and they're in *** little bit over 200 acres. What about the animals that are just visiting? What can the humans do in the park interact and feed animals from camels to giraffes, zebras, ostriches, asian, water buffalo, Mark's daughter Shelby made the most of growing up around these animals. I used to run out here through the pastures in my nightgown and barefooted out here, messing with all of them and all of them were my best friends. I even dressed up *** few of them. That sounds fun, you know, until you try to put sunglasses on *** giraffe or shoes on *** parakeet. Do these creatures have names. *** good part of them have names. *** lot of the animals we bottle raised over the years, we sell feed so people can interact with the animals as they go through. This is *** different kind of ride. Put your hands outside the vehicle and make *** new friend. I think the best thing about this versus *** zoo is that you're really up close with the animals not separated by wires or cages. Probably the bison was my favorite because they were very gentle and very attentive. They kept coming back. They smell love *** child's honesty. Do all the animals try to just reach in when people are going through the park, animals are going to reach in there, gonna have ostriches and emu's and different antelope. And these guys are the ones that will stick their head all the way in your vehicle through your sun roofs and we'll reach across just to get to your feet. You can see it gets very close and very personal. Um, so if you don't do very well with your personal space, they were all, This must be *** little confusing for the one. Ostrich that's waiting for an uber uber uber uber uber. Never mind. I'll just run. We have our unique petting zoo. We also have *** parakeet adventure which is really exciting. Often there's over 100 and 50 to 200 parakeets in there. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Too many tiny beaks. I'll just stay on this side of the camera. Thank you very much.
