really favored donald trump over joe biden. this is one of donald trump's strengths, one of joe biden's biggest weaknesses, and i think it is when to be a real salient. you know joe biden has been preparing all week for this debate so i am sure he's come up with some kind of answer but i think it got to really start with empathy and shows he understands the pain of the american people right now. >> neil: i think there is nothing worse than someone telling you you are imagining it, if you're really bummed out and angry about something, and some comes along to say things are actually really good, you have no reason to be bummed out and angry about higher food prices you see every time you walk into a grocery store, so he's got to find that ground that he has not yet found. he's got to clarify his position on inflation, what he inherited versus what created under his watch. he has yet to do that. >> he has yet to do that. and after three and a half years, he can't pass it off anymore. it's got to be his economy and his inflation. the story as people go to the grocery store and they are paying 20% more today than they were when he took office. they've got to answer for that

pay or he can't pass the buck anymore and he has to say what he is going to do to address it. >> neil: people hearken back to donald trump enter member of the good things, like the economy, prior to covid, it erupted in his final year, but the fact of the matter is, they look at that and they remember that. he was a volatile individual, volatile president, so they way that. what c got to do? >> i think it is a very fair question. in this debate, i think a lot of people are looking for him to be what he called himself to be more of a stable side of donald trump, rather than the erratic side. i think he's got to go after and prove his points on what the good sides of donald trump are. he's got to talk about immigration and the economy, talk about all of those things that he does so well on, and he doesn't need to talk about anything that can be sort of short and to no sound bite later and used against him, you know, you think about back to the question he answered, he somewhat in just said i will

only get dictate on day one. that sound bite has gotten played back so many times and it has come back to bite him. i think he has to be very careful with his words and he is not someone who does that. at the end of the day, if he comes out and does what he does best, which is tell his story about the economy come about immigration, he should have a good night. i think it is good to be a harder night for joe biden. >> neil: is it harder to be the one whose expectation are limited? people real quickly think that joe biden is going to do well tonight. >> i think in some ways, when people don't have expectations of you, it is an easier place to be pure if the expectations are low, it is easier to exceed them. i think he is going to have a hard time. it is 90 minutes. people are watching to see if he has a sharp as they want him to be. >> neil: got it. we shall see. tonight.
