I have been here several times and most experiences have been good I usually get gel mani & pedi. The most recent experience was very disappointing. I brought guest with me. 1st we told them we had another engagement and they ensured they could finish the services. They never mentioned they had an appointment of like 7 ppl for a bridal shower coming. They stopped doing our nails although we were there 1st to work on other ppl which resulted in us having to leave without all of us getting nails completed and having to return later. 2nd after just three days my nails were peeling. I got powder dip with gel finish. I got powder to help gel last longer. I didn't have time to go back right away and hoped the chipping would be minor. Wrong it progressively got worth and after just 10 days my nails look awful like I had them done a month ago. I called and was told I waited too late...I pointed out that gel polish should last & be chip free for at least 2 weeks I barely got three days. Further the polish and powder was/is separating from my natural nails that certainly shouldn't be happening either especially since I take care of my nails. Jenna did my pedi and she's nice and did a great job, my toes are chip free. I went in to show them my nails owner wasn't there and person who did my nails was and basically told me powder doesn't last long and pretty much blew me off. My sister introduced me to powder nails hers were done at different place and after two weeks hers still looked flawless. The owner is nice overall but I was really disappointed by this last visit and the poor quality of my nails, the treatment of out of state guests, and the response once I addressed my concern.Update: I returned on 12/3/17 and the owner did apologize and redid my nails for discounted price. They now have the powder to dip nails so the results are really nice. So far my nails look flawless! I did get cut with electric filer so just remind them to be gentle 😃 I also took my sister in law and she got gel mani & pedi and it looked really nice.Overall I do like this shop and I think the staff especially the owner is a hard worker and they are really nice to customers! I have only good things to say about A Plus Nails. The salon staff are great, always wanting things to be just as you like. For the past two years I've had a few times but it is always worth it. I prefer pink and white fill with Kim and their pedicures are perfect. It's very clean and they are constantly upgrading to make the experience more enjoyable. I've had to wait a couple times or chose to make an appointment to come at another time. They can't predict the amount of walk-ins but they try to accommodate everyone. I have recommended A Plus Nails to many of my friends. Read Less

TERRIBLE! I've visited this nail salon with great service in the past but things have really changed. The last two visits they had me sitting for 45 minutes + without letting me know about the long wait time. This last visit sealed the deal for me. I wasn't offered a pedicure package (there are several to choose from- the lady seemed like she was rushing), a beverage like everyone else and when I left the nail polish was completely smudged. I felt like it was such a waste of time and money going there. My heels feel like they were never filed. I'm really disappointed because I have to redo the work tomorrow. I will not be returning. The owner is amazing, and all of the employees are friendly and ready to help. I always call for my appointments, and I'm serviced within a few minutes of the appointment time. I get gel manicures, and the luxury pedicures. I have ingrown toenails and they always remove them wonderfully. The atmosphere is calm and quiet and the decor is pleasing. The products used smell great and make my skin feed super soft. I own many of the foot creams and the baobab butter that they use. My mom and I don't go anywhere else. Read Less

Love this place! The people are friendly and fun! They were busy and weren't trying to rush our manicures. The gel manicures were well done and lasted. Will definitely go back!

I was in town for a wedding and came here. I overheard them offer water to other patrons which would have been nice, but she never offered me anything. The woman doing my nails was really pushing for me to do gel. I said no thank you a number of times, only for her to bring the colors over for me to look at. I humored her by doing so, but told her I wanted to stick to the color I chose. She then brought out that sander tool that I've seen used on fake nails. She told me that my nails were uneven and that this would make them smooth. I said no thank you and that it was how my nails grew in. I'm perfectly fine with the imperfect smoothness of my nail. Well she wasn't and went ahead and began to shave down my nail (along the bottom). I asked her to stop (it hurt) which she did, but still doesn't no, mean no?When it was time to pay I hand her a $20 for the $15 manicure. For change she hands me a $5. A bit presumptuous to assume a $5 tip for a $15 manicure if you ask me. I asked for singles and I think she pretended not to hear me. Thankfully I had singles in my wallet. Finally when it came time to dry she didn't help me with my bag or walk me to the dryers. I figured out where to go on my own with my bag. Good thing I won't ever have a reason to go back there.More like D+ nails. Read Less

I had a non-gel French pedicure for under $32.00 (before tip) because they offer five dollars off Mon-Wed but I can't recall if that was just on a pedicure or either a mani or pedi. Happy that they were open on Memorial Day as a another salon I wanted to go to was closed. Yay for an employer that cares about their employees, boo for those of us with nasty feet. So I ended up here. My pedi was the "B: level, an A+ I believe it was called. Now I can show my toes off in public. I would come here again but I probably won't go out of my way to do so as it's as opposite from work and home as it could be within Eden Prairie for me. Yes, yes, an extra 4 miles is just too much for me. Okay, in winter, it is. . Read Less

My mom raves about this salon but the first time I went I was not impressed. My aunt, cousin and I got manicures. They had good experiences. I sat down at a station with a towel laid out covered in someone else's fingernail clippings. The technician doing my nails didn't seem to care and continued with my manicure. I have had much better manicures elsewhere and the nail clippings were a major turn off for me. My mom recently dragged me there to get mother-daughter manicures and it was like a totally different salon. I had a great experience. My technician was nice, I was pleased with my manicure and everything seemed clean. I think the big difference was that we went early on the morning after they had just opened and the last time I went was later in the day after they had been open for quite some time and were probably busy all day. I would recommend coming here earlier after they open to get a manicure because they seem to be less busy and more focused at that time. Read Less

How much do I tip for $100 nails? ›

Much like at restaurants and hair salons, the industry standard for tipping at the nail salon ranges around 15 to 20 percent, and it is generally recommended that if you've received extra services or specialty designs, a minimum of 20 percent is appreciated.

How much do you tip for $20 nails? ›

Which is better nail extension or acrylic? ›

Gel nails or gel extensions last for at least 14-15 days. Since acrylic nails last for a shorter duration of time, they are not durable. Gel nails are more durable than acrylic nails, making them suitable for daily chores or sporty activities. Acrylic nails are sturdier in appearance.

What is the most popular nail extension? ›

What is soft gel pedicure? ›

Soft gel is a soak-off gel that can be removed with 100% pure acetone. The soft gel adds minimal strength to short to mid-length natural nails but is not strong enough to support a nail extension. Soft gel is applied with a nail brush and is cured under an LED lamp or UV light.

How much should a full set of nails be? ›

The starting price for a full set of acrylic nails ranges from $30 to $35 in a mid-tier salon. However, this is only the base price as many factors count, like the skill levels of the nail technician or the salon location we mentioned before. These kinds of factors and others will influence the price of the service.

What is the average amount to get your nails done? ›

How much do nails cost to get done? On average, a basic manicure at a salon can range from $20 to $50, with a national average of around $45.

How much would you pay for nails? ›

Is $60 a lot for nails? ›

The cost of a manicure and pedicure can vary widely based on location, expertise of the technician, and quality of products used. On average, a basic manicure may cost between $20 and $50, while a pedicure ranges from $30 to $60. Specialized treatments like gel or acrylic can push the price higher.
